A field visit to Drohobych and Zolochiv, two West Ukrainian cities that are partners of the joint UNDP/EU project “Community-Based Approach to Local Development” (CBA), took place on 18-19 February 2016.
In the framework of the implementation of CBA’s rural development component, there were organized work consultations with representatives of the associations of co-owners of multi-apartment buildings (ACMBs) and initiative groups participating in the Project, as well as meetings with initiative groups intending to join the project.
Oleg Baranetsky, CBA specialist, attended more than 15 accommodation facilities. Communities residing in multi-apartment buildings showed the results of implementation of energy efficiency micro-projects, including through insulation of exterior walls, replacement of protective constructions, roof reconstruction and others.
There were also meetings with representatives of coordination councils and city administration in both partner cities. Besides, skype conference with the CBA central office took place in Zolochiv. During this online meeting, the list of ACMBs and initiative groups that are going to implement new micro-projects this year has been approved.
