On August 9 to 12, a four-day training session for all CBA-II Regional Coordinators (Community Development Officers) was held in Kyiv.
The opening of the training session was attended by Olivier Adam, UNDP Ukraine Resident Representative, and Tatiana Matiychyk, CBA Project coordinator from the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, Department for Relations with the Verkhovna Rada and the Regions.
Details on the methodology of CBA-II implementation were presented by Project management. Special attention was given to 2 new components: (1) support to economic development and (2) implementation of larger scale projects for alternative / renewable energy sources. In addition, the Project team discussed the strategy for replication of the methodology in non-pilot areas.
The CDOs were also familiarised with the concept of knowledge management and innovative approaches to communicating the results of the Project activities. In the 2nd phase, special attention will be paid to "real time” communication and to the use of social networks for spreading of information about the results and impacts of community-based approaches to development.
Thus, during the training session, the CBA Facebook page was created: http://www.facebook.com/cbaproject; we invite stakeholders and project participants to join.
