At the All-Ukrainian Exhibition "Pictorial Ukraine – 2011", held in Kyiv on August 16, the Lviv Oblast Community Resource Centre presented its success stories of community-based development.
The consolidated experience of micro-projects implemented by local communities in partnership with local authorities and business. These were the energy-efficiency measures in schools and kindergartens, refurbished water supply systems in school and also improved the school bus transportation service quality, was presented in the field of innovation educational projects.
In Lviv Oblast, within the framework of CBA-I, 54 micro-projects were implemented, which improved the communities' quality of life and created a favourable environment for long-term social and economic development of territories.
The exhibition was attended by senior officials of the Lviv Oblast Council and Oblast State Administration, as well as by the Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister for Regional Development, Construction and Utilities.
The exhibition was aimed to promote achievements by national manufacturers, to expand the scope of their foreign-economic relations, development of regional cooperation and attracting of foreign investments to the economy in regions of the country.
