On August 16, 2011, a training session "Active young people - the key to a stable community" by Donetsk OIU coordinators Ludmyla Shynkarenko and Oleksiy Lyzenko at the "Chocolate" children's camp (city of Svyatogorsk), held a subject-matter The training seminar was organized for leaders of children's organizations and young journalists. In total, 110 children took part in the training.

Leaders of children's public organizations learned about the United Nations Development Programme, the European Union, and their joint initiatives in Ukraine. Special attention was devoted to the implementation of EU/UNDP "Community-Based Approach to Local Development" project. Children also learned about opportunities to establish Euro-clubs in their schools and how to promote children's social movement.

A group of young journalists also participated in the training and received information about the activities in EU and UNDP in Ukraine. An exercise in writing stories about the CBA project was conducted.

A the end of the training, the participants pointed out they were very much  interested in the information about CBA Project and its prospects in rural areas of Donetsk Oblast.
