On August 16, 2011, a meeting for selection of pilot rayons of CBA-II in Odessa region took place.

 The Rayon Selection Committee, headed by Oksana Remiga, UNDP Senior Programme Manager, reviewed and analysed applications from 23 rayons, taking into account the following indicators: social and economic situation, access to drinking water, medical services, environmental situation, potentials for energy saving, commitments for resource allocation and results of cooperation in the first phase of the CBA project. By their common decision, the Committee selected eight rayons for participation in the Project:

 1. Izmailsky

 2. Bolgradsky

 3. Baltsky

 4. Lyubashivsky

 5. Mykolayivsky

 6. Rozdilnyansky

 7. Reniysky

 8. Ivanivsky

 Three rayons were put to the reserve list:

 1. Tatarbunarsky

 2. Shyryayivsky

 3. Velykomykhailivsky.
