On September 6, 2011, study tour was organized for 18 representatives of pilot rayons rayon in Cherkasy Oblast.

The purpose of the visit, organized by the Cherkasy OIU and Cherkasy Oblast State Administration, was to acquaint participants with the specific features of the 1st phase of the project implementation in Zvenygorodsky Rayon. Participants visited the Rayon Community Resource Centre, took part in the introductory seminar of CBA and the training.

Among topics of the training were:

• Functions of the Oblast State Administration contact person: Zvenygorodka experience,

• Activities of Rayon Resource Center,

• Activities of Local Development Forum,

• Methods for community mobilisation,

•Use  of community-based approach by Zvenygorodsky rayon authorities,

• requirements of the project to visualisation of the project implementation in the rayon,

• successful communication,

• procedures for selection of village councils

Among trainers were: Project Coordinator from Zvenigorodsky DSA L.M. Strashna, Project Coordinator from the Cherkasy Oblast Administration M.A. Kulyk, and CBA Community Development Officers Natalia Belyukina and Hanna Babkova.
